Divagation Vendéenne – April 19th – May 4th 2025 Nergative Gallery, Busan South Korea

“Divagation Vendéenne” shows Fabien’s wanderings in the Breton Vendée marshlands in France. For this series Fabien used the old handmade Japanese retouching technique that dates back to the years 1920 – 1930 called “Zokin-Gake”.

Koji Onaka

Koji Onaka a key figure in the Japanese photographic scene began his career in 1982 as a freelancer and very early on affirmed his photographic style. His passion for photography comes from his discovery of Daido Moriyama’s Tales of Tono series. Stunned by the singularity of his eyes and the feeling of nostalgia emanating from the contrasted prints, he left his hometown of Nogata to join the Tokyo College of Photography where Moriyama taught.

Ai Huang

Ai Huang is a Tokyo-based artist, her œuvreage focuses on portraiture through the gelatin silver process.

She works directly on photographic paper and large-format negatives, employing her hands, fingers, and hair to drag the liquid chemicals to create abstract imeges in b&w and vivid colors.

Junku Nishimura

Junku Nishimura – Born in 1967 in a coal-mining village in Yamaguchi, western Japan, works as a freelance photographer and documents the urban sprawl of Japan and the people, revealing its generally hidden effects on people and their towns.
